PFC: Design of a Cognitive New Generation Device

The objective of this project is the development of a new Cognitive Wireless Sensor Device. This device must provide functionality to develop and evaluate Cognitive Radio techniques adapted to Wireless Sensor Networks. These techniques could include: spectrum sensing, collaboration and learning and cognitive network optimization.

  • Description: Reduce accidents in linear works interacting with workers to warn about dangerous situations.
  • Tasks: Assessment, design and implementation of a fully functional real-time location of personnel and danger areas system in uncontrolled environment to alert the personnel of possible risks. Our group is responsible for the development of a wireless sensor network with the objective of collect sensor data related to the worker and warn the operator if a danger situation occurs.
